Residents Committee

Violet Town Campus has a Resident's Committee active in participation of day to day management and decision making in the running and maintenance of the Centre. Membership is independent of staff employed at the Centre and comprises of residents' family and relatives. It meets with the Director of Clinical Services, The Site Manager and Activities Coordinator as well as delegated staff once a month to deal with issues of goals and objectives of the Centre, fundraising and any complaints arising for and on behalf of the residents or families.

Residents Agreement

Violet Town Campus requires, as a condition of permanent residency, all permanent residents must enter into a Resident Agreement as outlined in the Age Care Act 1997.

This agreement protects the rights and sets out the range of services and responsibilities of the resident, staff and management of the High Care and Low Care Facility.

Will and Power of Attorney

It is the recommendation that incoming residents have a completed and up to date will and advise Management of its whereabouts. It is also important to notify of any change of next-of-kin and person holding Power of Attorney or Enduring Power of Attorney, any change of their address and telephone number. Residents who do not have close families are encouraged to make funeral arrangements and advise Management of such details.
